After Sheldon scientifically calculates his life expectancy, he is dismayed to learn that he will be a few years short of the time when he will be able to transfer his conscious self into a robotic format. So he decides to live a healthier lifestyle to eke out those few extra years. Those changes include eating healthier and exercising.
