Wiil's suspension is over and he's back in the courtroom representing a woman who is suing the city of Chicago over the wrongful death of her son Terry Beecham who was tasered by the police at a protest rally. He turns down a reasonable settlement convinced that he can get more but they may have a problem with one of the jurors. Diane approaches Maddie Hayward, their new landlord, in the hope of getting some relief on the rent but Maddie asks to meet Alicia. The trustee, Clarke Hayden, is starting to make personnel cuts Kalinda and her husband Nick continue to spar and it's beginning to affect his her job. She finally confides in Alicia.
